Job Summary

Kforce is seeking a Security Infrastructure Technician in San Antonio, TX, for a contract role. The technician will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting low voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices, as well as supervising electronic installers. Key duties include programming, system commissioning, customer support, and maintaining inventory. Candidates need a minimum of five years of experience with mastery knowledge of enterprise intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control systems, along with strong understanding of relevant codes and certifications.

Must Have

  • Install and troubleshoot low voltage panels, wiring, and associated devices
  • Provide onsite supervision of electronic installers
  • Perform programming and lead startup/commissioning processes
  • Provide reliable, high-quality customer support and instruction
  • Perform system testing and signal verification
  • Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory
  • Document service and hours worked
  • Minimum five years of experience
  • Mastery knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom access control systems
  • Full understanding of local/national codes, OSHA, HAZCOM Regulations, national electronic code, state and local construction codes
  • Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Retain NICET Level II Certification (for fire alarm systems only)
  • Obtain NICET Level III within one year (for fire alarm systems only)
  • Obtain and retain specific product certifications and/or licenses
  • 75% to 100% proficiency in client's Commercial Enterprise product offerings

Kforce has a client seeking a Security infrastructure Technician in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities:

  • Installs and troubleshoots low voltage panels, wiring and associated devices
  • Provides onsite supervision of electronic installers on multiple worksites and coordinates the daily activities for the assigned worksites
  • Performs programming and leads the startup and commissioning process
  • Provides reliable, high quality customer support
  • Provides customer instruction on system operation and functionality
  • Performs system testing and signal verification
  • Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools)
  • Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks
  • Ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks
  • Provides documentation of service and hours worked
  • Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner
  • Must complete other projects, as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School diploma/GED or Vocational Training
  • Must have five (5) or more years of experience
  • Must have a mastery knowledge of enterprise intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom access control systems
  • Must have a full understanding of local/national codes
  • Must have full knowledge of local/national codes
  • Requires proficiency knowledge of OSHA, HAZCOM Regulations and comprehension of national electronic code, state and local construction codes
  • Must possess strong communication/leadership skills when working with others
  • Must have an ability to determine and implement resolution to complex field situations
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have an ability to lead others and manage multiple projects
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to clear a drug screening
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. as presented in English
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have an ability to proctor, coach, and teach others

Certification/Licensing:

  • Must retain NICET Level II Certification (for fire alarm systems only)
  • Must obtain NICET Level III within one (1) year (for fire alarm systems only)
  • Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state and local codes
  • Requires 75 % to 100 % proficiency in client's Commercial Enterprise product offerings

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
